Required Documents for Getting a Marriage Certificate in Pakistan

Procedure to Get a Computerized Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC)
- The Nikah Registrar (Qazi) issues a handwritten Urdu Nikah Nama: Obtain the Nikah Nama After the Nikah ceremony,
- Register the Nikah Nama at the Relevant Office: Visit the Union Council, TMA, or Cantonment Board based on your area of residence and submit the original Nikah Nama along with required documents. so the office will verify and register the marriage in official records.
- Apply for the NADRA Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC): Once registered, apply for a computerized Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC) from the same authority. Fill out the application form and attach the required documents.
- Pay the Processing Fee: Pay the applicable fee at the relevant office (varies by city/authority).
- Receive the Certificate: Processing time is typically 5 to 10 working days.
